More News!
Oswego Speedway, NY
August 22nd
We'll be there!
Coming August 6th is the rescheduled Nostalgia Shootout. Below is Butch Kolashuk's '57 T-Bird.This was regularly raced at CT Dragway until it closed in '86. Butch went on to E-town and the Valley, but the long drives got old. The car was also heavily damaged in a fire, ending its racing career, and being turned into a street machine. But now that racing is back in the area, Butch was bit by the bug again. This past week saw him replace everything... clutch, tranny, locked rear with the '88's, and finished off with slicks. Lettering is back on the car, as it was back then. The car is back to full race trim. We're looking forward to seeing him make passes. I can see him in a match race with Cy Virgulto's great '40 Willys Gasser.
While it can't be seen in this pic, the car has a great period-correct metalflake job that Butch did himself.

New Junior Division! Part of the growth of our Friday night event has been the inclusion of kids. They've all been having a ball running go-karts, atv's, quads, small motorcycles, etc.
We really never had anything formal for the kids...it was one of those deals that just happened. We've been including them in with our Motorcycle Eliminator, and everybody including the bike guys have been very helpful to the kids in the staging area.
But to make things more fair for them, we are going to separate them from the adults. The rules are going to be a work in process, so changes down the road are likely. But for now, here are the restrictions:
1. Kids under 16 are eligible.
2. Vehicles raced should be 300 pounds or less.
3. Racers are restricted to times no faster than 4.00 seconds.
4. All racers must wear a helmet, jacket, and full length pants.
Any suggestions would be helpful and appreciated. For now this is what we will go with, and make changes as needed.
REMEMBER: SAFETY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE!
The speed restriction (no faster than 4.00 seconds) should keep kids off of machines thay don't belong on, and keep them safe. What is important for them to learn is good skills on the tree, good dial-in skills, plus sportsmanship.

Don's Speed Shop Nostalgia Night Rescheduled August 6th! We've been lucky with the weather this season, but our luck ran out this past Friday with a full day of rain. We will try again on August 6th. It looks as though we're going to have a great field of Nostalgia cars coming.
Subaru Shootout this Friday! We have always been impressed with how fast with the Subarus go in our format. We're looking forward to seeing a good field of these rockets when their event is run on July 30th.
Tuesday, July 20th
Don's Speed Shop Friday's sponsor. Special thanks to Don's Speed shop in Newington. They're were one of the sponsors that came on board with us in the begining of this venture. If you've never been to their shop, you need to give them a visit.
Stepping into their place is like stepping back in time. Don was a drag racer (and record holder) many years back during the sports beginings. While they are a complete full service speed shop, this is the place to go if you are looking for old-school stuff. They have all sorts of parts, old & new hanging from all over. It's like a little museum... a fun place to go. Next time you need something for your street car or racer, stop up and see Paul or Don.
Mopar Shootout Night was Great! "Plum Crazy Gil" in his Dodge A100 bested the field with his nostalgic truck. While we haven't seen any wheelies from him yet, he ran quick and consistant enough to best the other Mopars. This is Gil's second visit to the 'Bowl, and we're hoping to see him more often.
Street Eliminator goes to Grestini. Repeat winner Dave Grestini in his '03 Dodge Dakota topped the growing field of street cars. Dave and his father have been regulars with us since we got this party going in 2007. His dad has a great bright green '55 Chevy that we'd like to see come back.
DeMusis gets Comp Eliminator! Dave DeMusis went all the way to the finals to take top honors in Comp. Dave two weeks before managed to put a pushrod through a valve cover, so coming back to win the finals was even more rewarding. He also swapped out his drag radials for regular slicks. It was good to see him victory lane.
A quad takes Bike Eliminator again! Jake Longolucco becomes another repeat Holeshot Drag winner, but this time with a growing field of bikes. It's nice to see bikes go several rounds to get to the finals. I'm sure it was more fun for Jake.
We also are seeing more quads show up. Believe it or not, we're also seeing more go-karts and ATV's show too, some with kids runnig against the adults. It's great to see these kids getting a good start in the sport. All the adult racers pitch in to help them, whether it's to show them how to get a better light, or just help them get their racer started.
Anybody can race and win! This is a theme we've been trying to promote, and it seems to be working. First, you never know what's going to win, especially in Street Eliminator. Look what cars we've had in winners circle; A Hyundai, a Pontiac Vibe, a Chevy Colbalt, Ford Diesel trucks, a Dodge Dakota. Any car can win! Any driver can win!
What we really like is going throught the staging lanes and watching the friends that are racing each other. It's becoming the thing to do on a Friday night for more people, and we're glad to be part of it. No doubt we'll see more of that as the season progresses.
Thursday, July 15th
Mopar Shootout Night! Thanks to Auto Service of Old Saybrook for sponsoring this weeks event. We should have a great turnout of all types of Mopars, along with out regular show.
WINNERS! Alex Albaugh won Street Eliminator in his Hyudai Tiburon. A Hyundai!!! He's been a regular with us, and it's great to see him take the trophy. Jon Tisdale won the Honda/Kawasaki Shootout with, of all things, his 450 Honda with an automatic! Consistant dial-ins, plus great reaction time allowed him to beat faster bikes. Cy Virgulto won Comp Eliminator with his great 40's Willys Gasser. Cy is definately a crowd pleaser with his fast machine. Jake Longolucco won the Bike Eliminator with his quad. Jake held off all the other bikes, and ended up beating a red-lighting Tisdale. Quads are becoming a regular addition to our Bike class.
Friday, July 9th
Kawasaki/Honda Shootout Tonight! New England CycleWorks is our sponsor tonight for our first motorcycle shootout. thanks to that great bunch. We anticipate a great field. We've been pleased with how good of a show the bikes have put on, and how the field is starting to grow. We have some faaast bikes coming tonight, but now that we're allowing dial-ins, it may not be the fastest bike that wins! We've seen it before this season where the slowest bike (Jon Tisdale) got the trophy because of great reaction time as well as a good dial-in.
Mopar Shootout next week! Next week should be a great one when the Mopars roll into town. Auto Service of Old Sayborok is our sponsor for the July 16th event, and we expect a great and diverse field of Chryslers, Plymouths, Dodges, Jeeps (some were made under the Chrysler banner), etc. Bill Atwood of Auto Service has a couple of 60's style match cars with the altered wheelbase. these were the predecessors of the Funny Cars. Bill's fastest car runs in the 9's with his Hilborn injected Hemi powered racer.
HDRA on the move. It looks as though we will be expanding our operation to dirt. The Marshfield Fair in MA is looking to have us do an event for street trucks on their fantastic pull track on August 28th. Our plan is to run the same types of trucks that pull in the Street Truck Pulls. Our thoughts are to run a dial-in system with our tree and timing system rather than classes, but that is yet to be determined. More to come on that.
We will know for sure next week, but if this does happen, it will be an afternoon show on their last Saturday of their Fair week. We'll keep you posted.
Wall Stadium and Oswego Speedway events coming up! Word is getting out about our outside events in NJ and NY. We will be running the same basic format at these two tracks that we are running at Waterford. We will run three Eliminators: Street, Comp, and Bike.
We will have a rules page for our outside venues shortly, as they will vary slightly from what we do at the Speedbowl. Nothing drastic, just some refinements from what we learned at the CT shoreline speedway.
Remember, Wall is August 15th, and Oswego is August 22nd. Our plan is run these events late afternoon to early evening, with a start time around 5-6pm, and finishing up between 8-9pm. We'll post exact start times here on the site.
Wednesday, June 30th
Burnout Blitz this Friday! Along with our regular racing this Friday, we will have a burnout contest. This will be open to anyone that wishes to participate. We are looking for the best burnout, not the longest. We will have a time limit of 15 to 20 seconds, which is plenty of time to make alot of smoke! We also are looking to have you put on a show without having to go out after and buy new tires. A trophy goes to the winner, and the winner will be determined by the crowd. Burnout competitors are also welcome to participate in the Holeshot Drags as long as you have a helmet.
Monday, June 21st
Honda-Acura Shootout this week! The front wheel drive racers invade the'Bowl this Friday, in addition to our regular show. This should be interesting, as there are alot of fast cars out there. We expect many cars from the Hartford and New Haven area to show.
Winners from June 18th. The Mustang Shootout was a success. We had a real nice field of cars. Joe Grillo, from Ashaway, RI came out on top in that event. Joe runs a stick shift in a class that is dominated by automatics. Joe adds this trophy to his growing collection.
Comp Eliminator was won by Dominic Crisanti in his Suburu. Dominic bested the faster all out racers by being better on the lights.
Street eliminator was won by Matt Viscione in his Chevy Colbolt. Matt bested Paul Faucher's Chevy Cavalier in the final.
Street Bike Eliminator was won by Eric Reiter and his Buell. The racers in Bike Eliminator keep impressing us with nice clean runs. They all have smiles on their faces.
Street Bikes now run a dial-in. We thought there would be a problem running bikes with a dial-in, so we were running them heads up. We tried the dial in process a few weeks ago, and it did wonders on making the racing more even.
Because we are now handicapping bikes, we are now considering allowing all bikes to run. JOn Tisdale ran one of the slowest bikes that we've ever had, but he was great on the tree, and took top honors. We'll keep you posted.
Pictures! Pictures! Pictures! Keith and Heidi from Race Dog Photography do a great job taking pictures each week for us. Keith is the regular track photographer at the 'Bowl. As of this week, they now have a Friday Night page on their website in which you can view and purchase photos from each race. Their link www.racedogphotography.com is on our Sponsor News page as well as our Photos page. Monday, June 14th
Mustang Shootout this week! This is going to be a big week for us coming up! Along with our regular show, we will be having a nice field of Mustangs. For those new to our Friday night gigs, this will be a real treat for you. It doesn't matter what kind of a Mustang you have; Classic, Stock, Modified, everybody has an equal and fair chance to win. Our timing system and tree allows full handicapping, giving the slower cars a head start. In theory, everyone should end up at the finish line at the same time.
If you just want to join us for our Cruise, it's free to come in (as well as free to watch the Drags), and join the rest of the Cruise cars. It's just $5 to go into the pits, or it's $20 to race all night. All you need is a helmet! SPREAD THE WORD!
We're coming to the Jersey Shore! Part of out the plan is to expand HDRA's operation to other tracks and states. We have confirmed a date at Wall Stadium for Sunday, August 15th for a one day show. More details are coming, but we can tell you that we are excited to head down there. Jim Morton runs a nice operation, and we plan on playing hooky the next day to hit the boardwalks! We'll provide more details soon!
Monday, June 7th
Diesel Shootout this week! It looks like we will have our largest field of racers this week as the diesel trucks invade the 'Bowl for their Shootout. We expect to see trucks from multiple states.
For the first timers here's the skinny. We have a regular show in which everybody (cars and trucks) runs on a weekly basis. The 2 "Eliminators" are "Street" and "Comp". The majority of trucks will be in "Street". After the regular show, all the diesels will run by themselves for a second chance for a trophy. We have a full tree, and all vehicles during eliminations run a dial-in. This allows everybody to have an equal chance to win. We look forward to seeing the large field of trucks. The trucks that have run with us are a huge hit with the fans.
Eliminations start later! In order to allow time for people to get to the track on a Friday night and still have time for some test & tune, we will start the eliminations at approximately 8pm. The 'Bowl's management wanted us to stick to their stock car timetable for reasons of consistantly, which has its merits. But it has become more obvious that our original timetable makes more sense.
Sunday, May 30th
Lots of changes this coming week, and all good! In a constant effort to streamline the operation, and improve the entertainment, we will be doingseveral things to put everything together.
First, for the racers, we will now be using the north pits now that they are paved. Second, we will be changing the direction we race back to the way we started in the season. Third, we will be bringing in a DJ for the Cruise.
This will put the spectators, Cruise participants, and racers all together in the first turn. Everybody will be close to the burnout boxes. If a spectator would like to go into the pits, the gate in the first turn will be open to go in. The refreshment stands are right there. Spectators will be close to the Cruise, and everybody will be able to enjoy the DJ.
More later. Special thanks to Larry's auto Machine in Groton. CT for being this weeks sponsor!
Friday, May 28th
What a weekend we have coming up at the 'Bowl! Tonight we continue with our "Show n Go" Cruise & Drags. Tonight will include a Street Rod Shootout, along with our regular show.
Tomorrow night, the IMSA Supermodifieds will be in town. They are scary fast winged big block powered racers... nothing is faster as these cars!
Sunday is the Memorial Day Madness even. The X and Super X cars will be on hand, as well as a demo, a trailer race, plus more. A great family show!
Speedbowl's newly paved drivway
NO MORE DUST! It was a pleasure to drive on the property this week and find the entire driveway paved!Terry Eames had the entire length of the driveway paved, as well as the road going to the north pits, a portion of those pits, plus the entire length behind the grandstand.
In the past, dust from the drive in and out has always been an issue. That is totally resolved. This was done, among other reasons, was to accomodate the weekly Cruise. We know that people spend alot of time cleaning their cars. They now will stay clean!
Thursday, May 20th
The weather looks GREAT for Friday! Unlike last week, the forcast for Friday looks perfect. Although the weather turned out good last week, the weatherman for days told everybody it was going to rain. Result? Many people made other plans, only to be dismayed to see the sun come out, and not have time to load the trailer. Many Cruises and other events that night in other parts of the state canceled in the morning, again relying on bad weather info. This week looks to be promising, with good car counts and a growing Cruise.
We're going with the rules suggestions below. Until we see enough cars to produce additional classes, we are going with "Street" Eliminator, and "Competition" Eliminator. Street is for street legal cars that for the most part are daily drivers. Comp is for cars with race tires, slicks, DOT slicks, etc, modified street cars, and all-out racers. Everybody dials in their times, so all racing will be equal. We're still going with the bikes as written.
We've been pleased with a couple things. First, the bikes have been running well. It must be that we've had a quality group of racers. Second, we're pleased as to how well the high horsepower cars are hooking despite the fact we don't spray the track. While traction isn't perfect, the cars aren't going up in smoke either.
Racers, remember! You must have a helmet! No passengers allowed in race cars!
Spread the word, and get your friends at the track tomorrow! We've got a great thing going! Let's keep it going!
Saturday, May 15th
Second show is in the books! Thanks to all that came out. Look for some changes in the rules and start times to help streamline and simplify the program. Here is what we are looking at.
The 'Bowls management team wants us to open the pits at 5pm, and get test & tune started at 5:30. They also want us to start eliminations immediatley at 7pm. They run a tight ship on their other race nights, so we will take their lead on this issue.
To run things more efficiently, we are also looking at just running "STREET" and "COMP" Eliminators. STREET BIKE" Eliminator remains unchanged. All cars that have raced with us in the past two weeks are eligible in one of these two classes. We can add the other classes when there enough to make a decent field.
Our thoughts for Street Eliminator? Our intent was to have this class for the guy that has a regular street car, and wants to go racing and and go up against other cars like theirs. Tires must be regular street tires with a wear factor of 200 or higher. Cars with DOT drag radials and street drag tires normally have a wear factor of 0. These cars will fit into the "COMP" Eliminator, which also are allowed slicks. Anyone that has DOT drags radials usually have drivetrain modifications also. Everything is "dial-in" bracket racing, so racing should be very equal and entertaining.
A final decision will be made in the next couple days, and posted on this site. Your thoughts are welcome.
We are looking for a track announcer! If you or anyone you know would be interested, please shoot us an email or give us a call.
Thursday, May 13th
Right now it looks like the weather is going to cooperate with us Friday. Check the Speedbowl's website for the latest updates if weather appears to be in question. www.speedbowl.com STARTING TIMES: We are changing some times around to mirror the Speedbowls other nights of racing. Pits open at 5:00pm. Test & tune starts earlier at 5:30. Our goal is to start eliminations at 7pm. Front gate and Cruise will be at 5:30pm.
Some pics below from our opening night!
...........................
Monday, May 10th
FIRST NIGHT A SUCCESS! We had a nice field of cars for the Drags as well as the Cruise for our first event. We were fighting opening night glitches and gremlins which slowed things down for us, but everybody had a good time. Things will be smoother over the next couple of weeks.
Results will be posted here in a day or two. we are waiting on pictures from "Racedog" Photos.
Meanwhile, special thanks to all that helped and pitched in at the last minute. We couldn't have done it without your help.
Wednesday, May 5th
TIME OF EVENTS. We're making some slight adjustments to our starting times.
PITS: Open at 5:00
CRUISE & FRONT GATE: Open at 5:30
TEST & TUNE: Starts at 6:00
By the number of calls and emails, it appears we'll have a great turnout for opening night! We're looking forward to seeing all of you!
Tuesday, May 4th
OPENING DAY IS ALMOST HERE! Today we are picking up our timing system from Portatree. We'll be spending the next couple of days putting a box of parts together to make a functioning timing system. Needless to say, we'll be busy.
Thanks to everybody in helping put this thing together. I'm sure it'll take a week or two to get through any glitches before we have everything running like a swiss watch. We're going to have a long list of people to thank when this first event is in the books.
We're getting alot of calls and emails on both the Drags and the Cruise. We expect a good turnout for the opener. It also appears the weather will be cooperating!
More later. Spread the word!
Friday, April 30th
IT ALL STARTS NEXT WEEK! We're getting calls and emails from people ready to race. Some were trying to see if we were running tonight, but they'll have to just wait for the May 7th opener.
Plan to get to the track as early as you can. There will be paperwork from both the Speedbowl as well as us to fill out. Gates officially open at 5:30, but we'll probably be ready at 5:00. Test and tune will start as close to 5:30 as possible.
Opening night will be a rehearsal for all us, racers and track crew alike. For this reason, we will not start the points system until May 14th. This will allow us more time to get familiar with the timing system, and for the racers to get their cars tuned and set up. Everybody will get a permanant number to track those points. Waiting a week for points will allow us to get all the initial competitors into the system.
Even though we are not running points the first night, we will still run a regular program with all "Eliminators". The plan is to start test and tune at 5:30, take a quick intermission at 8:00, then go to eliminations at 8:15 or so. Our plan is to be done and out of there by 9:30.
THANKS TO EVERYBODY FOR THE GREAT RESPONSE! It's gratifying to get so many phone calls and emails from people that are happy to have a form of Drag Racing available to them. It's been a looooong wait since Connecticut Dragway closed 25 years ago. We are going to do everything we can to keep the "fun" factor in this gig. I really believe we have the right combination.
HELMETS MANDATORY! Just a reminder, for all that are new to this gig, insurance regulations mandate that all racers wear a helmet. We're trying to see if we can get an exception for the Street Eliminator, but for right now, everyone needs a skid lid.
ON YOUR MARK! for those of you running Street, Comp, or Nostalgia Eliminators, you will be adding and perhaps changing your dial-in for the eliminations. For you first timers, your dial-in time will be written on the window with a white marker (like white shoe polish). If you can, try to have your own marker to help us speed things along. Thanks!
GO SPREAD THE WORD - DRAG RACING IS BACK IN CT!
Monday, April 26th
LESS THAN 2 WEEKS! ARE YOU READY? We're waiting on delivery of our new timing system... we're expecting delivery by the end of the week. We decided a long time ago to go with "Portatree". This is the same company that does a brisk business with practice trees (we recommend considering getting one) They build a good system, and they are within driving distance if we need any assistance. We're starting with a basic system, and will be doing regular upgrades throughout the season. The system (from another company)we had in 2007-2008 was not as sophisticated, but it did get the job done. It gave us a bunch of headaches though!
BURNOUT PAD. One of the issues in running an event at a facility such as the Speedbowl is burnouts. In the past, we've had to limit racers to "rolling" burnouts. Stationary burnouts would quickly destroy an asphalt surface, something our hosts can't have. Our solution? It looks as though we have a line on steel plates, the thick ones you see on road construction. We'll know for sure in a couple days if this will happen, but it looks good. Our plan is to haul them out on to the track surface on race day, then take them off after each Friday night gig is over. We'll simply spray some water on them, let cars roll onto the plate, and let 'em smoke. This will be great for the racers that need heat in their tires, as well as the fans (who doesn't like a good burnout?).
----------------------------
"What is Holeshot Drag Racing?" Holeshot Drag Racing is a short distance drag race of 100 feet. Traditional Drag Strips are usually 1/8 or 1/4 mile in length, using a tremendous amount of real estate. Holeshot Drags utilize only a fraction of that space, allowing this type of event to be held in more venues such as parking lots, stock car tracks, etc.
The most action in a race is right in the begining when the cars do their burnouts, and when they launch from the starting line. Holeshot Drags has all of this, plus the advantage of the whole racing program being run at a fast pace. Racers get more runs in a day than at other conventional strips... getting 10-15 test & tune runs in a day is not uncommon. We had one racer get 31 time shots in before eliminations!
What is HDRA's mission?
Our mission at HDRA is for everyone to have a good time and blow off a little steam by racing their cars in a safe legal place. Our goal is to bring back racing to areas that no longer have drag racing (or never did). We already have that started in Conn. at the Speedbowl. We are looking to provide an safe alternative to street racing. For those racing, we are looking to keep this FUN! This means keeping everything simple, and the cost of racing affordable.
What kind of cars can run?
These races will be for all safe cars & motorcycles. New for 2010 will be that "all-out" race cars will be allowed to run. All cars will be competitive, as there will be different Eliminators separating the fast cars from the slower ones. We will be doing traditional bracket racing in which you can choose your own dial-in within each Eliminator.

Paul Holmes will be running with us on a regular basis. Paul's beautiful Nova runs 12's on motor, faster on NOS. Paul is one of the many that make the long haul to out-of-state facilities, and they're happy they now have a closer place to call home.
Here's one of the projects at "Karl's East Coast" in Warwick, RI. It's a 5.4 32 valve with an 80mm turbo, placed in an '87 Mustang. Car will be a "Pro-Street" machine expected to be able to run mid-8's in the quarter. With us, he's probably looking at 1.7's to 1.8's. Car will be great in both "Comp" Eliminator as well as our "Outlaw" Eliminator.

Troy Marvin's Malibu. 555 inch big block powered will make this one of the cars to beat in the "Outlaw" Eliminator. There will be alot of cars coming out of their "Reliable Auto Shop"
100 foot Holeshot Drags regular Joe Grillo launching at Waterford, 2009 season. Joe was a consistant runner, and one of the competitors that made it into the winners circle.
"Plum Crazy" Gil and his restored A100 dodge Wheelie Truck. Pictured with a 383" wedge, now being replaced with a bigger 493" stump puller. Gil plans on being on hand opening day.
Kevin Dunn's '41 Willys pickup. Kevin is going to be another regular with us on Friday nights at the Holeshot 100 foot Drags. This was taken at Island last season at a Nostalgia event.
Mike Marvin's 'Vette will be running with us on a limited basis. Car runs 8.30's in the 1/4. And yes, they have mufflers for this!
Regular Holeshot Drag competitor Troy Marvin's truck doing double duty in the truck pulls
A postcard from Connecticut Dragway... anybody know the year? Postcard from GeorgePascucci
This is George Pascucci's Henry J. It features a Hilborn injected big inch small block Chevy. George also has a beautiful '37 Chevy Gasser, but I have to tell ya, the Henry J is my favorite. Car runs in the 9's.
This is the Monza owned by Tom Babowicz. Car runs 10.1's in the 1/4, which translates to 1.8's to 1.9's in the 100 foot format. Car should go good in both the heads-up OUTLAW class as well as the Class A Index.
This is the '40 Willys of Cy Virgulto. Another racer really excited to "burn some rubber" in CT! We'll be talking to him later, as well as Tom (the Monza above) to get more details.

While we've been making a big push for the drags, we can't forget the weekly Cruise that will be part of what will be a fantastic Friday night "happening". Above is Charlie Collins' '62 Ford. We expect to see him, as well as other cars like this as part of the Friday night extravaganza.
More pictures coming of both Drag and Cruise cars participating Friday nights. We're short on details, but we caught wind of a Nostalgia Wheelie Van being built, and could very well be putting on exhibition runs as part of the Friday events. We will try to get pictures and details this week. Fred Carrado's Buick Grand National... Fred was a regular competitor during our Wednesday night events during the 2009 season. Lots of power, had trouble hooking up. We plan on having some kind of a burnout pad, which should help people like Fred out. Fred is one of the sports nicest guys.... an absolute pleasure to be with. He always has a kind word, and is quick to give a hand to anyone.
This is Dean Schimetschek's '55 Chevy that will be running on a regular basis during the upcoming season. I was thinking "Gasser" when I saw this pic, but I see "D/A" on the side. We have to find out what the deal is on what class this used to run. Regardless, the car is just plain cool to look at. We're excited to know that cars like this are going to be running with us. Dean ran from time to time last season with a 500+ cu. in. '59 Ford that was a record holder in the 60's at the Connecticut Dragway. This season it's the '55's turn.
While we've been focusing mostly on American muscle, we expect a great turnout on Compacts and Imports too. This is a work in progress... an Eagle Summit with Mitsubishi drivetrain grafted in. This FWD car is now AWD! This sleeper will be pushing 600+hp when it hits our track this summer.

Below are a few pictures from our Wednesday night events, run in conjunction with the "Wacky Wednesday" events. Since we had no time to set up a timing system, we used the Hand Drop method to send 'em off.
Below is a slide show of our first series of events at the 'Bowl. We ran our first events on the backstretch. Now that we have a Car Cruise behind the grandstands while racing is going on, we can now race on the front stretch.
